1968 no mint mark Roosevelt Dime

Please, please, please, PLEASE read the entire thread, or even the post above yours for starters. Oh, wait.... I did and see I've already suggested this (in a sincere attempt to help) and was ignored, or at the important parts were anyway. If you're not willing to listen and/or consider, or to do your part in reading or trying to learn what you really have, you rightfully cannot expect anyone to help you.

Good luck, but I'm telling you now you're certainly in for a rude surprise if expecting any sort of windfall.

Coins minted in Philadelphia had no mint mark until 1980. There are a few exceptions: War Nickels and the 1979 Susan B. Anthony.

Hey guys , I have some 68 , and 69 dimes with no MM I need to sell them for at least a million dollars as they are extra ordinarily rare . How can I do this ?

I have read this entire thread, and still don't know if I have a proof dime or not. If it's worthless or could actually be worth something. All I see is a bunch of childish bickering and poor grammar. I guess I'll take my dime to a coin shop so the guy there can give me no more information than I've gotten here. Thanks.

So you keep saying. Did you ask about your dime somewhere?

 

I just found it this morning and am doing a ton of research on it. I haven't taken it anywhere yet.

 

I'm sure it's not worth anything, but I figured I'd at least try.

 

Just a normal dime, still worth ten cents though!

I came across a weird dime in my pocket change its blackish red 1968rosevelt dime I can't find a mint mark on it so I've been holding on to it is it with anything?

My son found a 1968 dime with no mint mark and we took it in to be appraised after a friend got all excited and told him it was worth money.
The appraiser said it was worth a dime and my son was outraged how little time she spent looking at his coin. She must be wrong!
It will be very good for him to see how many others have found no mint mark dimes that are also worth just a dime, but I told him we would take it into one more shop just to double check another day.
It was a fun experience for him and it might even get him into collecting.

Mickey, there are 2 1968 dimes , neither has a mint mark. One is the normal business strike worth 10 cents and the other is a 1968-S Proof, where the S was left off that is the rich one. An appraiser can tell a business strike from a proof almost immediately as there are visible differences in a proof.

 

The '68 'S' less proof is elusive indeed. Business strikes abound. Be not fooled.....

I have a dime in the original packaging from the treasury department with the other coins with and S except the dime and quarter. Does that mean anything or am I just wishing. From what all I've been reading on this site, well I'm just a old country boy,but I would appreciate some help. Thanks. P.S. You can call me anything its no problem with me. But my name is mark
