    Hey everyone,

Not that anyone notices, but I’ve been busy with life, and I ended up back in coins buying out a friend’s inheritance. Anyway, I see a lot of the collecting landscape has changed, including CAC now grading coins. I still haven’t received an invitation, so I assume I never will.

Anyhow, I got through page six of this subforum and didn’t see any posts about it, so…

How do I go about using CAC grading? I like their holders. A LOT!

If you go to the CAC website it stated membership (to join) is currently closed.

I read this.. Quote "The service will only be available to existing CAC initially, which is comprised of around 3,000 members. There will be a registry set program that includes coins from all graders in addition to their own CAC registry sets that are exclusive for CAC coins." Closed quote

They aren't actually allowing even members to submit yet. They are still in test phase. They have yet to begin encapsulating coins. It is in the horizon. There is a forum non members can join. Google it. But they aren't allowing any new members. One grading opens you would have to go through an authorized dealer or someone you know that is a member. I was lucky enough to join CAC about a year before they began limiting memberships. And it was about another 6 months or so before they closed them altogether. I'm sure they'll begin accepting people again someday? But until then those are your obstacles.

So, are you able to submit on behalf of others? How would they track that?

I'm sure I could. Obviously I'm no dealer. But if I had a friend who wanted a coin graded I would submit it for them.
