What about great coin un confirm able story of given to a president and then passed along the chain till I bought box of tokens and the story was wrote in the title card
Got this half groat in the post today. Exactly what made me buy it is a mystery as it really is a little too beaten up to be a keeper. I think the desire for a Commonwealth coin took over common sense.
Can you read the year or know that value difference I am sure yours means more to you, found it personally. I have a few I found but digging in my garden bed house was built in 1860's. On older cattle path next to rail road my detector isn't very good
Another problem token or button I found GWI Button with holes Not sure of variety I know it is rare but don't know a value! I found website specializing in them.
Very nice button. I have found almost 100 colonial buttons metal detecting so I have come to love old buttons. My holy grail button metal detecting would a GW button, so far I am still looking for one though.
Good luck Here is another partial roll I had buried in back of the 90% stack anything of great importance Havent ID all of them(most) yet Most 1700s but some 1600s and some 1800s
Forgot the link in the first post. The photo itself is proof that this coin is fake, it looks more like play money http://www.ebay.com/itm/1955-Double...780814?hash=item1a0861dc4e:g:BrsAAOSw5ZBWMoXP
I would almost hesitate to call that a problem coin, based on the standards for coins of the era. Granted, I would rather trade better surfaces for somewhat less detail, but I still think it's nice.
Not sure, maybe they were just bored. I have seen a lot of coins with holes in the middle, maybe there was a reason.
