Pretty coin with a nice clash. Great example of how a coin with lots of chatter on the devices that still received a high grade.

I’m not sure what I like more, the coin itself, the toning or the die clash. Very beautiful and pleasing. :):)

If you think about how the dies are aligned, it matches with the M of Monticello. Notice the O behind his head, and the outline of his head on the reverse.

Wow! Nice Jeff in its own right, but the clash is really cool. I'm accustomed to seeing basic outlines of the design elements in a clash, but you've got the lettering from MONTICELLO in there, too!

Perfect pastel peripheral toning on the reverse.

Jefferson nickels typically bore the snot outta me, but this is one I'd happily own.

    Was that a local buy?

I think "LCS" in the original post refers to "local coin shop", so I'd say likely yes.

I have been known to hit a few different shops along the front range.

Well I don't want to give away all my secrets
But it was either A Coin Shop or World of Coins, I went to both that day...

Thanks, I haven't been to world of coins in a while, I am sure it was before 2020.
I am gonna have to go check it out. One of these days.
The Freese Brothers, I have been in a few times. I think bought some stuff at shows from them.
Have you been to Toms old place much?
I went in there once since he passed away.
    Centenial Gold and Silver?

The more I see obvious clashed coins, the more I like them.
