    Terrific pick-up MM !!

    And wonderful Posts everyone...

TIF, that's absolutely gorgeous and it screams AJ LOL

My examples are a bit more modest and while Alexander, appear to be posthumous.. with the possible exception of the bronze. An upgrade in the near future.

    Thanks MZ, Pish.
Is that a pentagram below Zeus?

I am surprised that @stevex6 and @Alegandron have not posted yet? They have some nice Alexander's, if I remember correctly.

Yep, I recently posted it on another thread...and that worn 'protome' on the left appears to be a forepart of a lion.:)

I found this in a tube of dimes. Is it real? The weight and diameter are accurate

A 'tube' of dimes??? I guess you placed it in the flip with the attributions???

At first glance, it certainly looks legit to me---but I can be fooled about half the time..

The most I ever find in a 'roll' of dimes are a few Canadian types that Steve must be stashing there to get back at all of us lower 48 typeso_O:rolleyes::)

@capthank I don't like that one at all. In my opinion it is a fake.

  13. TIF

    TIF Always learning.

The styling looks modern/fake to me. Hard to comment on the fabric due to the scanned small images. The weight is accurate for a drachm but I doubt this coin is authentic. The "find spot" makes it all the more suspicious.

    Capthank-drachm.jpg

It looks like a match to this fake. Perhaps there are better images of the type somewhere... I'll keep looking.

Hmmm, The more I look at it, rotating the image etc, the more it looks off to me as well....regardless of where it was found.
