From Harlan Berk's junk bin. RR as, Janus, Prow. I've never seen an RR bronze in a junk bin. This one only grades G, but it has a lot of nice detail for the grade, and it's problem-free. I simply couldn't leave it, right?

That's not a "junk bin" bronze at all. I'd certainly have picked it up myself. Can you make out the symbol above the prow?

Sort of, but it's not immediately recognizable to me. I'll hit the books later and see if I can attribute the moneyer.

I just took a look at my copy of Crawford and I think you might have a mast and sail above the prow making it a Crawford 213/1, which is relatively scarce. You really almost never see this series any nicer than your example. If you ever want to get rid of it... :)

Large follis of Justinian I - pretty decent. Not your $100 model, but not really junk bin stuff either...

Small bronze of Macedonia, Amphipolis. You find many off-center strikes on these. This coin may not look like much at first glance, but it's centered, the town is completely spelled out on the reverse, and it's even got the monogram at the top of the horse. Plus, that's Poseidon on the obverse...
