I entered this coin number and PCGS says: "We're sorry. That PCGS Cert Number was not found in our database." I tried several different ways, including a 0 in front of the number. Any comments?
Interesting. I even scanned your Barcode on the label and it gave me that exact same number and image of the label
Quoted from PCGS, "Data entry errors occasionally may occur causing the information on the coin holder to differ from the PCGS database. If the information listed above appears to be incorrect, please contact PCGS Customer Service at 1-800-447-8848. Learn More"
I would send the picture of the coin in the holder to PCGS and ask them why it's not in the database.
$125, but the '46 S is not the coin in question regarding the thread. The '42 plain was on ebay yesterday am.
Five years ago I bought a 1935P Peace Dollar MS 63. When I got the coin it was a P but the label said S. I called PCGS and they had be send it back to get the label correct. What ticked me off was it took a month to get it back even though it was their mistake.
I did just that.......got an Oregon Trail in an old green holder that doesn't show up in the data base, same as OP. I sent 'em an email with a pic and they never got back to me. No biggie, as I know it's legit. The coin was purchased from a highly reputable dealer who is also a member of this forum.
