Could someone help me identify if these are error coins and what kind they would be? Thanks a lot in advance.

Looks like all your coins are PMD - Post Mint Damage.
The Dime would be Environmental Damage.
No errors on any of your coins.

Thank you. This is a little better shot of the dime mint mark. Any theory as to what would cause these post mint damages and is the dye grease similar in color to that in the picture?

Hogan.. that is also Post Mint Damage. Looks like it was crushed or pinched or snipped with a tool at one point.. but that did not occur at any Mint. One evidence are the crushed letters in LIBERTY.
You should also create your very own unique thread if you have a question on your coins.

I don't think that is actually Die Grease that is used at the Mint. 22 years have passed since your Dime was milled. Maybe someone was handling it while eating at McDonalds..ketchup ;)

Excuse me if I'm taking this the wrong way. The name of your website is cointalk. Did I post this in the wrong thread for you to tell me that I should create my own unique thread? I thought this was a friendly website. If I found a coin or if anyone else found a coin like this & didn't know, I'm pretty sure if they knew cointalk existed, I'm sure they would have did the same thing. I go through my change everyday & look for exciting coins. If I'm constantly posting coins that I find and asking y'all about them, I don't think that should be a problem if that's what your website is for.

Post squash and rub test pic. I squashed and rubbed moderately to hard with the secret shammy and I also poked it a bit with a nail file and it held up pretty good. And unlike Hogan's penny there is no substance cuts or scratches on the rim. Also the mint mark appears doubled. this reminds me of the time i found the meteorite and the professor said it was slag.

You should create your own thread so you get specific answers for your specific coin. It cuts down on confusion. Paddy is a very helpful and courteous member. I don't think he was being unfriendly. And please, ask questions about your coins, just create a new thread. We are all here to learn & share our opinions!

If it was a rare coin (it isn't) scratching it is just going to ruin the value. I recommend using less harmful ways to test for an error next time.

Good luck on finding a rare error and welcome to Cointalk

I'm very impatient and I've been lucky at finding stuff since I came upon an old indian camp.
Are you aware of any error coins that contain old coagulated grease. Thanks in advance!

It is a double die right. The second picture shows that on the min mark and date?

I'm not aware of any, chances are that any grease that got on the coin would have long since rubbed off. Also, A coin that got struck through that much grease would not have good details. On a grease error the grease does not stick to the coin, it simply means that there was grease in the die that caused some details not to show up. I'm going to guess your coin has some old tape residue. It could be grease, just not grease from the mint, maybe some grease from a car or hamburger :) There has nothing mentioned about any coin ever having coagulated grease from the mint, your coin is just a dirty coin.

    Here's a grease error as found online.[IMG]

Not a doubled die either, looks more like something caused by slightly blurry photos. A real doubled die shows clearly outlined raised doubling.

Good luck though, one day you may find one, they certainly are out there, it just takes searching ;)

Here's a doubled half in my collection.

Notice the distinct doubling on the chin and designer's initials.
