I would have thought it impossible to find one of the silver dollars, but I found one in a bank last year, a 1922 Peace. Amazing that people don't even notice.

I've been CRH'ing for over 3 years solid now (minus deployment time) and I have found everything under the sun it seems. The only thing I have yet to check off the list is a silver dollar.

I buy half rolls periodically and usually get a few silvers from each roll. For those of you in the NYC area, there is a Chase branch downtown at Wall & William Streets. They seem to have a never ending supply. Good Luck!

$100 box of BWR 5c - opened to see that they are all 2015-D
    $25 box of BWR 1c
1 1911 - a box of candy for the bank
    12 40s and 50s dates

Greetings: I am a CT Virgin (hope I can say that) and a reborn collector; if you include my partially filled Whitmans from the 50's and the foreign coins my grandmother left for me. I've been reading your threads for a month or so and noted that many of you periodically get bags or rolls of coins at the bank, so when I was there today, I asked for a roll of halves and the teller said:" I just got 2 rolls in do you want them both?" Well I'm a sport and went for the $20. Both rolls had a lightly noted "silver" on them, so I figured it was someone's name. To my surprise I scored the following K's: 1 (65) 3 (66) 12 (1967) 16 (68D) 4 (69D). And oh yeah, 2 (64), a 63 Ben and a 45D Walker. If my math is correct, I guess about $103 in melt value.Thank you for your impetus to do this; the bank's address will remain anonymous.

Just traded in couple of very weak BWR boxes - Cents & Nickels. Really hoping for better in my newest boxes!

Box of BWR Cents - 10 wheatbacks, 15 newer Canadian cents. The only interesting coins were a beat down 1944-S and a near mint 1968-S. The '68 may be an upgrade for me; we'll see...

    Box of BWR Nickels - 20 pre-1950, 23 between 1950 and 1960. Best coins were all quite worn - 1941-S (small S), 1950-P, 1952-S, 1953-S.

The 1950 was a surprise. Will be checking it against my books. :)

Cracked open that fresh box of BWR Cents during the football game. Didn't get too far, just 15 rolls in, and frankly this box hasn't been better than the last one. So far I've found just 3 wheatbacks (1 per 5 rolls isn't good), but the last one was such a jaw dropper, I had to stop and show you all my find. Sure to be an upgrade for my collection! :)

    Check out this 1954-P ! ! !

OK got to the end of that BWR box of Cents and had a *strong* finish! :)

20 wheatbacks in total (one was so bad it went right back to the bank), a 1937 Canadian, a 1945 Canadian, and a 1957 Canadian. The '37 had Loomis circle cuts though (of course!). Also found a minty fresh 1968-S and a near mint 1970-S. Oh a starfish (2004 Bahamas).

Also found 2 specials. My oldest penny ever! 1909-VDB!!! I had one in my book that my dad found when I was 13, but *I* found this one. :) :) :)

It has some damage, unfortunately, otherwise I'd grade it between a VF and an EF. I don't know what the scratch does to the coin's value. Real shame, as I can clearly see all of the wheat tops.

The other special I found is, I believe, a wide AM 2000-P. What do you think?

Hmm. Weird. I don't know if this is Mint damage or just some customer meddling...

very cool error. I'm guessing it is a mint error but could be post mint. I'm not even novice level on errors. I'd suggest post it over on the error forum and see what they say. May be worth something
    interesting find

I'm new to coin collecting but I figured wheat penny rolls for a couple of bucks was a good place to start, they go for double on eBay any ways. I found two 58s' that are nicer then most pennies in my pocket plus an unusual one. I have no doubts the 58s' are worth very little however the third one could be. It is 57' d in pretty good condition. However, the coin appears to be silver. I have not found any info on this. Anyone find anything like this?
