I've got a 1960 d penny and want to know more about the errors on it and see if it's possibly worth something. 14459624714372014373504.jpg 1445962623857-1102395210.jpg

If that area is raised it might be a die chip. If that area is indented probably just damage to the coin after minting

It seems to be raised. Look at the date and "in god" as well as abe's face.

Kind of looks like a hit to the coin. PMD

Went to get it checked out, they said it was a lamination error and the date is doubled.

I see pmd no doubling no lamination issues.

Where did you go and who told you this? Maybe a small Lamination which is common on those older Cents, no huge premium. Looks like a worn die issue and much circulation on the entire Cent.

An antique and coin dealer in morgantown wv. He wanted to buy it off me so I figure it's worth a decent amount.

    I would sell it quickly.

Would need a close up picture of the date to actually tell

If I had a better camera I would do that for you. 5mp is all I've got.

Don't figure, just sell it to him for as much as you can get. If he makes an offer, counter offer with a higher amount. Be willing to come down and settle for less and hope that he'll raise his offer. Whatever the offer is, take it and run out the door. :)

PS. I would not go back and buy anything from him either.

That's about as good as I can get with a close up.

Looks like the 6 & 0 have taken a hit and got flatter but I see no signs of doubling
