Tijuana and Mexicali has a home industry of raising moth larvae and unknown insects and adding them to 'rotgut' tequila in empty high price tequila bottles for bars. 'Gringo' is the go word for everyone to play along. They don't eat the bug, only the foreigners.
Tequila is one thing I'd be very happy if I never drank again. Can't stand the stuff. I'll stick with vodka or whisky
Tequila is the nectar of the cactus as vodka is of the potato. What I can't stand is "Gin" nasty juice of a gin berry. I have made it a policy no one may open or partake of it within 500 yards of me! Of course my beverage of choice is a beer, unless a good bottle of red is available . Nothing sez relaxing better then a glass of red and a fine cigar.
As bad a the Phillies have been over last couple of years it was fun going to see the Riversharks. I would love to see an affiliated team go there as of now I spend my baseball dollars in Trenton, Wilmington,Lakewood, Reading and Allentown. I've been to a lot of minor league parks the worst have been Purdue Stadium in Maryland and the one in Manchester,NH
I was smart. I stayed on this side of the border but I did throw a rock from the USA across the Rio into Mexico.
I've got a gallon of what looks and smells like gin in my workshop. It's labeled turpentine Not a big drinker of spoiled grape juice either. I do love my beer tho
I live nine miles from downtown Camden. My interest in railroads takes me into the city (Pavonia Yards and Buslon St yard) a couple times a week. It is not a dangerous area in the daytime and most of the violence is associated with drug trafficking. So if one avoids the drug trafficking and confines one's travels to the daytime I don't see the place as any more dangerous than other cities. Most of the population is far more likely to be victimized by crime than commit it.
I truly don't care what kind of berry! What I do care about is destroying ever tree that these berry grow. I'm thinking Agent Orange!
I enjoy gin mixed with the soft drink Squirt. Took me a while to get used to the flavor, but IMO, these mix nicely. I prefer Bombay Gin. My favorite liquor is Kettle One Vodka. Any good vodka really. I also like a good, bold, aromatic red wine.
