What a joke........it's bullion people, and no dealer is going to pay you more than 10% back of bid. Pretty? Yes. I collect them but am savvy to the regard that I won't make any money on 'em unless silver prices go up. Graded bullion is a joke (my estimation) but I can understand that folks do enjoy collecting holdered silver........

I know most you say that American Eagles and Kennedys are over-rated , but I love them and will continue to collect for that reason. I collect for my grandkids to have something of me when I am gone. P.S. Lincolns also

They will be much happier if they inherited classic MS silver type coins.

Someone here nailed it, everything made this millenium is also overrated.
Especially in a PCGS/NGC slab and the grade is 69/70

    '16-D mercs are also overrated.

first strike and/or early release are overrated, coin dies are replaced throughout the minting period. The higher the mintages the more times the dies are replaced. And the mint does not ship coins in the order they were minted. The coins shipped in the first 30 days could actually be some of the last coins minted. Therefore the designation is misleading and really has no real meaning; so why do people pay more?

Yes. It costs $18 for a first strike designation and people go crazy over a chunk of bullion in a sonically sealed plastic slab that says first strike on it because

And there's many more that do including me... although I go for the Early Release more then First Strike.... so much so, traded a '07 ASE 69ER for a '06 ASE 69FS.... which will then be traded for what I originally want, a '06 ASE 69ER :)

First strike early release ms 70 etc. me and a lot of other people won't pay much over spot for bullion coins regardless of the label. To me it's bullion

I think the answers already posted are based solely on what appeals to them. While I may not like certain coins series, I respect others desire to collect them. Calling them overrated simply because you don't collect them is funny to me.

I suspect that, like myself, those downplaying the modern coinage and MS69 / MS70 material are doing so because they've already played in and been burned by corrections in such markets.

Heed my advice . . . learn from watching instead of doing, if you have the opportunity. It saves a lot of time and money.

Overrated: I missed out on the ground floor, and now the coins are too expensive to buy and flip for a profit.
Underrated: Underwater in coins that seemed like good buys at the time, but now hardly anyone wants them except at rock bottom prices.
    :D;)
