Ooops, I made a mistake (I know that's hard to believe, but it's true!!) => I do have a Quinarius!! Oh, but it's a much "newer" example than most of the others that have been posted Allectus. Hey Bing => the first NFL game is tonight!! (sit back and relax, my friend) Brady-the-cheater (New England) taking-on the Steelers (ahhh, life is good) ... oh, but I didn't miss you (not one bit ... well) welcome back
Thanks little brother, but I know you missed me. I didn't miss you at all. I thought I'd go back and try to catch up on all the posts I missed, but That's way too many, so I just started here. Actually, I miss the whole crowd (not you, well, maybe).
you have some awesome republican coins aleg...wow! so everything here is a republican except steves super cool ship allectus. i'm not familiar with the coin type really at all, so when i search for the coin type on vcoins, you see republicans and a smattering of other coins...but allectus seems over represented in the "other" catagory by quite a bit. any particular reason?
well folks, we had a power outage, and lost internet. I am on phone direct internet now, so i can not post a couple other RR unusuals... Bummer. Hopefully tomorrow! And, welcome back @Bing ! It hurts to travel... I've got too many miles under my belt, and totally understand your wear and tear right now! Drink a LOT of water, helps a lot.
I'm going to bed right now. I feel exhausted. I have a couple new coins to post, but it may take me a few days. The lawn and shrubs are overgrown, so back to the daily grind (sounds like a coffee shop). Thanks for the welcome back.
I think between you and me, we may have most of the RR BCE issues. And we really don't overlap. Your postings have inspired me to go get those designs you have into my covy of Quinarii...
Nine years ago I went to a coin show with a Trajan quinarius on my want list. I didn't find one, but came away with this: Hadrian, 117-138, quinarius. 15 mm. 1.45 grams. Victory standing left holding wreath and palm. PM TRP COS III RIC 105, page 352. Hill 133, "AD 119, second largess." Sear 3556. I still don't have a Trajan quinarius and it is still on my want list.
