Contemporary counterfeit large cent

    image.jpeg image.jpeg Here's a fun one a counterfeit 1838 large cent. Made of a lightweight metal. Looks like tin or something like it. Probably had a copper wash originally. Is not to often you see a counterfeit cent

    Hmm, looks cast no less. Kind of wonder if it was a "fun" project or something since it was then the equivalent of what is now 50 cents.

    Are we sure its not something like a game piece or something? I have seen bad imitations made for games that were never meant to fool anyone.
