Error or PMD ?

    Easy, Error! Struck Through Late Stage Die Cap. They have different appearances such as a smooth look or a ragged ugly look like your Cent :yuck:
    I have some examples certified by NGC but I'm at work so I will post later.

    I'll say the same thing I pretty much always say: if you are interested in errors, you should buy a book on the subject and read it.

    However, in this unusual case, I'll also add that this appears to be a coin struck through a die cap, and is a pretty cool (genuine) error.

    That could very well be a capped die error. It is similar to others I have seen.

    Beat me to it! These things always stand out and are pretty easily to readily identify. Struck through die cap it is.
