I did a bit of searching online and not sure how good the results were. I'm in the market for the BEST guides to the various Seated Liberty sets. And I mean one for each set with die varieties, etc. -- Half Dimes -- Dimes -- Quarters -- Half Dollars -- Dollars Suggestions, please.
Thanks. I saw that one but I wanted a comment on it before I ordered. Now I'll go ahead and order. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Oh, just noticed it's a web-book. Looks like I'll have to bookmark this site.
David Lawrence has the definitive Seated Half guide published for free on their website, along with those for a few other issues. I'll leave it to the browser to find what all the other ones are.
The WB book, as mentioned in post #4, is indeed a fine reference and at least at one time certainly the definitive. However, it could reasonably be argued that Mr. Bugert's more recent (yet unfinished - I believe 4 of 6 volumes have been published) series rightfully deserves the title(s). http://www.richuhrichcoins.com/category.php?cat=18 This may also be of some use to you... http://www.lsccweb.org/Resouces_for_Collectors.html
Not quite as codified as I expected (or hoped). But I'll plunge in and see what there is. Thanks for the additional input.
Also, Dave Bowers is due to release a book on the entire seated design across all series any time now. I thought it was supposed to be available already myself.
