I kinda like this coin!

 

In my opinion, the ugliest coin ever minted by the US Mint.

Yes, that's a woman (Eunice Kennedy Shriver). And, even more hideous is the proof version.

Scared the crap outta me when I scrolled down the page and this image filled my screen..

 

How about these two ?? both metal detecting finds and foolishly cleaned to reveal any detail ?? What detail,I haven't a clue what they are,I can honestly say that i think one of them was a button..I just don't know ??...any ideas anyone ??

How many remember the fight about the Shriver coin? NO living people on US coins.

 

I like this coin ... I don't find it ugly at all.

 

It's ok though when you "Kennedy" in your name.... then we'll bend over backwards

 

I do not believe there is any regulation that prohibits an image of a living person on a US coin.

Over the years there has been several US coins produced with image of currently living (at time of striking) people on them before 1995 Special Olympics Silver Dollar.

Who and when? I recall the debate in the Senate and House quite well.

 

It must have been a dream ........ The only regulation on the books is with the "Presidential Dollars".
