    In my opinion, the ugliest coin ever minted by the US Mint.

    Yes, that's a woman (Eunice Kennedy Shriver). And, even more hideous is the proof version.

    How about these two ?? both metal detecting finds and foolishly cleaned to reveal any detail ?? What detail,I haven't a clue what they are,I can honestly say that i think one of them was a button..I just don't know ??...any ideas anyone ??
    I know the pictures are rubbish and do not help but there aint much your missing.

    How many remember the fight about the Shriver coin? NO living people on US coins.

    I do not believe there is any regulation that prohibits an image of a living person on a US coin.

    Over the years there has been several US coins produced with image of currently living (at time of striking) people on them before 1995 Special Olympics Silver Dollar.

    I thought the same issue came up with the 1992 Olympiad silver dollar.
