From those photos - VF20. There is a chance proper images might take it down to F15.

VF details. It may be an old cleaning that has re colored somewhat, but it doesn't look very natural to me.

If my opinion will be the determining factor, I say buy it at all costs!

Sure, sometime down the road when you regret the purchase, you can blame me and poo poo about bad advice, but maybe, just maybe it will teach you than when it comes to your money, only one opinion matters.

It appears to be a problem coin , I'd look at a lot more in the range you want to spend . You'll never go wrong buying a quality coin , this one is not .

Problem coin, cleaned vigorously and terribly which damaged the coin IMO! If you buy it, you will regret it. Trust me, I wouldn't want that coin in my collection and I would feel bad if I saw somebody buy it.

I'm wondering if the word LIBERTY is a bit more bold but we can't see it because of the lighting.

LIBERTY is barely noticeable, almost worn off .. The dealer is asking $180 and says it's EF 40. I walked away from it Saturday but I figured I'd post it here just to be sure. I think I made a smart decision

I would forget this one as it's almost too damaged to be a details coin to me....

Well it's a good thing that booksb4 hillbilly isn't the only one who commented.... There is no shame in getting a 2nd opinion on a coin! There is about a gazillion years of experience on these boards and the non-snarky members will direct you in the best way possible... Me, I would NOT give more than $75 for this coin. Hold out for a better example

Apparently, grasping tongue-in-cheek is beyond your limited abilities, but really comes as no surprise; "ignant", remember? God forbid someone interested in spending good money on coins actually learns for themselves instead of relying on coin forum unknowns. Silly me for thinking any moron could understand the point.

I don't know if you just think you're being cute with this incessant "hillbilly" nonsense, but it makes you sound like an idiot. Now please, go away or bother someone else.

Aahhhhh just like the good ol' days.
You make a snarky remark, per your usual, I come in and take a jab at you, you get your panties in a bunch.....
Good times man , good times :bookworm:
Hey man everybody has an arch nemesis , don't go actin all ignant on me now. It's all in good fun, well, for me anyway...kachorkle:beaver: Dont worry, I won't go correcticatin' you fer another month or so.... And that concludes yer lesson fer the day...

Books may come off a bit short once in a while, but frankly his advice is sound. I've been collecting since before I can remember but I still take advice of more learned collectors once I know what their experience is. Nothing wrong with that, if ever I knew everything about the hobby, I'd sell all of my coins because I would find it very boring to continue. Good thing that day will never come.

That says a lot coming from you Kirk. Maybe I'm stereotyping just a tad too much...He could very well be from the same side of the tracks as me... But when he shows up in his madra shirt driving his corvair, I always think he's out to steal my girlfriend -cherry
