Z-Bro .... my gawd, it's kinda like touching a flame, or looking straight into the sun, yet here I am still returning to BABYMETAL videos (dude, I had never even heard of them before you posted that last video) ... there must be some subliminal messages in their lyrics?

=> hey, I admit that they're absolutely horrible ... yet here I am humming their tune all day!! (I'm sure this too, will pass)

    ... I feel dirty

Oh my God, stevex6 ... shake it off, big guy!!

=> no more watching BABYMETAL videos!! ... got it?

Ummm, in an attempt to get over my recent BABYMETAL addiction, I'm gonna have to dig-deep from my youth and pull-out a couple of go to winners!!

If you're around my age, then you must have listened to Alice Cooper ...

Man, I'm sorry for afflicting you with the Babymetal fever! They can be sick and addictive :cat:.

However, great choice of antidote. '70s Alice... what an excellent vintage, eh. When I caught him in concert a couple years ago, the man could still kick out the jams. Good ol' Alice.

Favorite coin is hard to say, but here's one I just won at auction that I'm really looking forward to:
    AgoraImage.jpg
Ti. Claudius Ti.f. Ap.n. Nero. 79 B.C. AR serrate denarius (18.3 mm, 3.91 g, 4 h). Rome mint. Diademed and draped bust of Diana right, with quiver and bow over her shoulder / TI·CLAVD·TI·F / AP·N, Victory driving galloping biga right, holding wreath, reins, and palm frond; CXXVIIII below. Crawford 383/1; Sydenham 770; RSC Claudia 5.

And some music from my favorite band. A bit before my time, but I grew up listening to this music because my dad loved it and they've been my favorite band as long as I can remember:

oh man, I can smell the 70's up in here! love Floyd, love quite a bit of music that was before my time...probably 80% of my ipod is 70's music, just an amazing era for rock. also dig it when a band can nail it live and make it sweeter than the album version...

and I LOVE serrate RR denari!

    Yesssss => now we're hummin' ...........

*phew* ... hey comrades, sorry about that slight slide-back to BABYMETAL (it was kinda like accidentally saying "yes" to an experimental drug)

    :bear:

Hey Z-Bro ... if your parents still had enough cash left-over after buying acid for the Pink Floyd concert, then they probably had this baby laying next to their Floyd vinyl ... I'm just sayin'

    oh!! ... I need a coin ... wait a sec

=> hey, how about my "oldest" coin? ... very cool type, eh? (my example is humble, but just having "anything" from these early days is "uuummmpppphhh")

Me too, and I never understood why some of my friends had such a negative reaction. But I suppose their music was sophisticated in way that you wouldn't expect (or want) if you all you listened to was the top 40.

Since many of us are Pink Floyd fans, have any of you listened to this brilliant insanity? Brad Smith covered the entirety of Dark Side of the Moon in 8-bit sound, à la early Nintendo. Here's side 1:

    Here's an equally silly coin:

CELTIC, Central Europe (Rhineland). "Dancing Mannikin" type
    65 -40 BCE, or thereabouts
AR Quinarius, 13 mm, 1.62 gm
Obv: dancing mannikin right, head turned left, holding snake in right hand, torque in left hand.
Rev: horse standing right, head turned left; around, zig zag border.
Ref: SLM 1118. Dembski 73, 396. (I'll have to take the seller's word on that for now. If any of you have a Celtic reference and find this inaccurate, please let me know.)

The Celts are famous for silly coins. Are these coin's humanity's very first works of abstract art?
