Your rarest emperor

    Although the Kunker example is excellent, nice preservation, centering and toning, I prefer the style of the portrait on mine...I'll stay with it :)

    Not to side-track anything, but what distinguishes a "provincial" from another coin?

    It sure is a wonderful coin, it's just that considering rarity and all I didn't expect to see another one that soon :)

    Thank you so much. I was thinking that they were just roman coins struck at provincial mints.

    Oh Vabalathus as Augustus! Nice. I just have the common Aurelian with Vabalathus reverse, and I call it a Vabalathus anyway.

    What I really need is a coin of his mum, Zenobia!
