  1. I love coins and i love what this one supports. Price was in my range too. I bought one for myself and one for my son. Not that good at sharing things so im sorry if the image is wrong but I just bought 1 of the silver signature pieces. The site is gmrgold.com.

I don't like dealing with any company that doesn't post prices of their products on their website. Rather, they want you to provide them with an e-mail and phone number, which possibly leaves me open to some high pressure sales person calling the house.

Still, OP, if you like what you bought and are satisfied with what you paid, then I'm happy for you. It looks like a very nice 'round'.........:)

Now those are the people that the US Mint should honor, but they won't.... thank God someone did.

    How much was it?

You might want to look at some of the commemoratives the US Mint has made.

Kinda hard not to when you collect the series isn't?

Furthermore, lets compare shall we? Honoring an American Hero like Chris Kyle..... or honoring the '84 Olympics on about 35 different coins???
Maybe you should reconsider no? ;)

    1) It's not a coin, it's a bullion round.

    2) @charlietig : If you want to actually make a reasonable argument, you should at least compare apples to apples. Commemorative coins are issued to commemorate people, places, and events. Comparing Chris Kyle (a person) to the 1984 Olympics (an event) is silly. A more fair comparison would be Chris Kyle vs. Eisenhower, or some other historical person. I think you see how silly a comparison one like that is. Sure, he served multiple tours in the middle-east, he wrote a book, a movie was made about him, etc. -- but, he was doing his job as a soldier in a war that shouldn't have ever been fought. A hero, sure, call him that if you want. But, no more than any of the other thousands of soldiers who have died in wars since time immemorial.

    3) @ldhair : I agree with your sentiments.

    4) I would like to know exactly what proportion of the purchase price is going to this foundation. A 1 oz silver round for $49.99 is a bit steep -- I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that someone is making a racket on these. I don't know what "Proceeds for these commemorative coins and bars will go towards the foundation’s goal of providing aid to our country's bravest" really means -- and it doesn't say "All proceeds"...if you wanted to support the foundation fully, you'd just cut them a check and skip the middle man and trinket silver round.

    Just my opinions...

ANY firm with the words MONETARY RESERVE in it's name is strictly forbidden in my household.

Just the name alone strikes me as some type of numismatic blood sucking entity that prey's upon the ignorance of the general population with high dollar advertising to suck in as many fools as they can before someone complains and/or discovers that all is not as it may appear.

IMO, if one wants to donate to the Chris Kyle Foundation, then they should contact that foundation and do a direct donation instead of allowing some middleman to scoop up the profits.

    But, that's just my opinion.

PS, do a search on Chris Kyle Foundation and behold all the folks jumping into this donation pot by selling this that or some other "Chris Kyle" items.

Why did the promoters of these items wait so long after the film came out?

Come on, man.... you posted a blatant advertisement, and offered absolutely no "help" to anyone here other than to say you don't even have what is the subject of this necro-thread. You're fooling no one.

If your "office" wants to use the forum for business promotion, contact the administrator, or get in touch with the owner. Their forum, their rules, their call.
