    Man, it was love at first sight with this sweet lil' baby!!

    => a fricken mussel, seriously? (yup, seriously!!)

    This cool coin will sit next to my other seafood winners!!


    AEOLIS, Gryneion. Æ11
    4th century BC
    Diameter: 11 mm
    Weight: 1.63 grams
    Obverse: Laureate head of Apollo facing slightly left
    Reverse: Mussel
    Reference: SNG Ashmolean 1447–8; SNG Copenhagen 205–6
    Other: 2h ... black patina, a few deposits. Rare

    Awesome coin steve.
    I have this one that appears to have a mussel between the claws. Not a great coin but I am happy as I only paid 4GBP for it.
