1964 Kennedy Error?

I inherited some coins and have been going through them trying to catalog everything. I came across this 1964 Kennedy half dollar and wondered if this is an error, a play of light or what y'all might think it is. I see a '7' just to the west of the 4, it is about the size font as used on a quarter. When I magnify at 50x I can see a definite imprint, maybe it's just a scratch, in the coin for the horizontal portion of the 7, but not sure about the vertical. There is maybe another character on the east side of the 4, but I'm not convinced on that. Any thoughts? Anyone ever seen something like this before?

    First, welcome to the neighborhood!

Second, look at the bright side. It's 90% silver!

Thanks! I am not a collector myself and don't really have a desire to be. I have to figure out what I'm going to do with everything. Probably around a thousand coins total. Figured getting everything cataloged was the first step and I have a tentative appointment with a PNG dealer in a few weeks and I guess will go from there. I know some collectors like coins that are "different" so figuring out if this one is different or just a coincidence would be nice. :)
