I've had this counterstamp for some time, but haven't yet posted it. I think it's one of the most unusual issues I've ever seen.
The "CT" is apparently the initials of a person or company that sells cigars. The unicorn head is actually formed by the smoke from a burning cigar directly under the figure. It may indicate a brand..."Unicorn Cigar", perhaps. I have never been able to attribute this one, nor has anyone else that I know of. It looks to be a company logo, but may not have anything to do with cigars at all. Any ideas?

An Adams magic coin which was used in the multiplying coin tricks, they were cheaper for the magi to have a lot of them on hand than actual coins. plus they were less appealing to theft. They ca=me in .40 and dollar coin sizes.

I won another Air Force token last night. It's the 366th Combat Support Group. They were in Phan Rang and then the whole wing moved to Da Nang.

@Paddy54 , Just in case you didn't know, that medal there is a Heraldic Art Medal (also called So-Called Half Dollars). It is one of the 60 issued (3 per year) from 1959 through 1978. The Pony Express medal is #4 of the series. Below is my example of the type! It's a great design executed flawlessly (as are really all of the medals of the series).

I have the original envelope it came in with the # 1598 on it. I was wondering how many were minted . I also like how the date is cut in western scrip.

Haha! You know when I bought my Veitnam era tokens, I thought to myself, "Hey now! I don't have any tokens from the Marines and this needs to be remedied."

I fixed that problem. I've been to busy today to get any pictures. Maybe tonight? Heck, I still have a ton of photos I still need to process. I was trying to get some nice photos of my tokens and came to the conclusion my bronze ancients were far easier to get right!

I did find the mintage of this medal was to have been 6000, however not all were minted and the reference said more than half has been melted. That said I'm guessing < 3000 survive maybe less.
