I've been putting together a Dansco of raw toned Franklins (well, given OCD, I'm putting together 3 albums). Given that they're raw Dansco's they are just meant to be fun inexpensive projects. Here is one pair of 1957 Franklins. The P was bought at a show, and I got the D via fleaBay. The images are by Bob Campbell, and I think he did an excellent job...

For raw coins they're not bad. Your OCD is working. Get it up. :)

    Exceptional as always Sy!

Looks like Ben is exhaling a little something on the P mint coin.

What's the difference beteeen a Dansco and a Whitman album?
Is the Dansco more of a quality album?

Charlie, the first S mint Frankie was minted in 1949, so if you've got a '48-S, you've either got a one of a kind coin or a Chinese counterfeit...

Realistically, these days there is not much of a difference between a Dansco and a Whitman. The placement of the coins differs a little, and the covers are a different color. That's about it. In the old days Whitmans tended to be "backed", so when you put your coin in "the hole" you could only see one side.

As for Ben's "bubble", I tend to think of it more as him swearing... he must have just found out "his" coin had an eagle on it instead of a wild turkey...

I really like the toning, but anybody who knows me already figured that one out. Great looking coins!!
