Looks like a worn die with some grease or debris in the L. I just posted on your last post to pleas post photos in Full Image, and here your are doing it already. My bad, I guess. Thanks for doing that though.

Split letter? Huh? Anyways.. Look at the two following captures. One is the Cent without outline and the other has the outline. Do you use reading glasses? Look at both pictures back and forth until you start seeing the faint beginning of the die deterioration issue which will turn into a full blown ridge ring.
Yeah but I see it at bottom left. But ok you win. It’s just so hard for me explain or see this kind of thing when I don’t know this coins future use of a die. Baby steps.
