I was about 12 or 13 when I bought these Morgans from Stacks straight out of the Sunday NY Times. They were $3 each at the time, and have since developed a little colour having spent many years in acid laced manila envelopes.

Note the bloody finger print on the reverse of the '82........I don't remember that being there. Butter fingers me. :)

CoinCorgi Tell your dog I said hi!

Not sure how I got this Peso, but I've had it since I was a wee lad. Dad must have come home with it from his travels.

In 1986, I was 13 years old. This is the first coin purchase I made on my own and direct from the mint. 37 years later, I still have it and take it out from time to time. Much like myself, the outer packaging is starting to show its age but it's what's inside that matters.

Here's the first "old coin" I purchased when I was about 10 years old. I screwed it up by cleaning it. It looked a little better than, but it was still just a Good+.

I really like the Statue of Liberty half dollar. The coin is common as dirt, but I think that the design is really great. It's odd, but the best designs seemed to appear on the half dollars on the early modern commemorative sets.

Ikr.. unbelievable how dirt cheap these are. Who knows, maybe they'll eventually come around in price- The designs on them look very nice.
I'm no expert, but I feel they are undervalued.

    Clad half dollar: 928,008 mintage

    Proof half dollar: 6,925,627 mintage

    Silver dollar: 723,635 mintage

    Proof dollar: 6,414,638 mintage

Everyone who wants one, gets one. Nary a scrape of rarity, but I agree that the design is purty

I remember talking my mom into buying a set of these. It wasn't hard to do. I didn't purchase it myself so won't post one.

I don't know of anything that I have had that long that I actually have photos of...currently.

one of the few things left from my original childhood collection.. my old H.E.Harris IHC folder.. (now part of/owned by witman's i believe) yeah the pic is horrible, but that's ok so are most of those IHCs and the FEs are worse lol recently added that 73 you saw. Took it out a few weeks back and decided this is one set i WILL finish lol (can probably fill 4-6 empty holes with vf-xf examples on hand and at least a dozen more i could upgrade but I'm gonna try to stick to the f12-vf20 range to match the rest of the set :D
