I'm going through my Capped Bust Halves and trying to attribute all of the Overton numbers but this 1830 has me stumped. Also the bump on her chin is really confusing to me!

I'd say the bump on the chin is PMD.

That's a better picture of it. It just seemed weird to mw. Thanks! Anyone know the overton?

It seems to be a small-O variety, right? But very hard to say more, the coin is worn and the pics could be better. Start looking at the I / T position and the date... could it simply be O-101? T in States below A and E?

I am going to concur with O-101.

The mark on her chin is damage - a post-mint hit. She got in a fight and took one square on the chin. It doesn't look too bad though, it shouldn't hurt the grade or value much.

I'd call it a mid-VF, and it looks fairly attractive. Is the dark spot on her wing some sort of gunk that can be removed, or is it a darker toning spot?

Thank you guys so much for the help, I'm still new to attributing overton varieties but it's slowly becoming a passion. Any websites you can recommend or do I need to invest on some books?

You're best bet is to buy the book. Overton is now in it's 5th edition, but it really hasn't changed much since the 3rd. You can probably find a used copy of the 4th pretty cheap (that's what I use).
