It is about a week until the highlight of the West Coast collecting scene - the Long Beach Exp 9/16 - 9/19. Who is going and what are your plans for the show?
Flogging books and visiting with friends will be my top priorities - how about you?

Will be there the entire show set up at Table #448. Please stop by and say hello.

Don't forget, if you need a free pass to the Long Beach show, go to the Long Beach Expos website and register in advance for a free pass... use code COINS and that should work.

And if you're a member of the PCGS Set Registry, you should have received an email a week or so ago offering you a complimentary early bird pass valued at $100 which lets you in the show Wednesday @ 2pm and at 9am all of the other days.

    See you at the show!

I usually go the Long Beach shows but since the ANA show is coming to Anaheim next year I've decided to save up my money for that show. Will need extra money for lodging and food expenses.

Mike / illini420, I will definitely come see you at Long Beach. You are always one of my first stops. I am interested to see what is in that box of sample slabs behind the table.

I'm going on Friday. Last time I went there were so many tables I didn't know where to start, LOL. This time I've got a want list which should make it a bit easier.

I only wish they had better food, -horrible would be too nice a euphemism to describe it. There's probably a billion dollars in coins out on the floor and yet the food is little better than what you'd get at a refugee camp.

They had food? LOL. Outside of the little snack stand where they had small stuff (like fruits, muffins, coffee, etc) I didn't see anything.

One of the stands attached next to the snack stand said paninis on the awning but I didn't see anyone working there.

Honestly, I was fine with it cause there are a bunch of restaurants within a block or two. I had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen right across the steet. Perhaps if those restaurants weren't there they (convention center people) would make more of an effort to provide quality food.
