I just put the slab on concrete and tap the edge near the corners a couple times with the peen of a ball-peen hammer. Newer PCGS and ANACS open right up cleanly after a couple hits. NGC and older PCGS can take a bit more work.

Hmm... how about the MS65 and MS67 plate coins in the PCGS Photograde App? I believe the Pogue quarter is the MS66 coin.
That is very kind of you. I am sure these three coins would be adequate compensation for my 1843 F-15 dollar. Still, would it be possible to throw in a couple 1804 (plain 4) proof restrike 1804 gold eagles instead? (I'm looking for a little variety.) There are at least four of them out there.
