Silver options

  1. Should I pay the premium on Silver Eagles or just buy junk silver?

    Depends on the premium . I feel $2 is worth it , but 90% US silver is probably the better way to go with lower premiums .

    If you intend on selling it when the price goes up a few $$, then junk is OK. If you want to hold it until the near end of mankind, pay the premium.

    The basic question is are you collecting or investing.
    Collecting - go with the Silver Eagles
    Investing #1 - go with .999 bars and rounds
    Investing #2 - go with junk silver WITH the knowledge that it's most likely NOT .999

    Wholesale premiums on 90% silver are currently +$4.30/oz and on ASE's +$3.50-$4.00 each.

    never tried to sell bulk 90% silver , but , guessing , you get higher sell over melt with silver eagles
