I received these as a gift and so I wanted to attribute them. They will never be sold! Can anyone confirm the attributions, they are not in the best condition.... 1 Septimius Severus, L SEPT SEV PERT AVG IMP VIIII, laureate head right PROFECTIO AVG, Severus on horseback right, holding spear. RIC 106, RSC 580. 2 Marcus Aurelius, Rome mint, AR denarius, AVRELIVS CAESAR AVG PII F COS, bare-headed, draped bust right. / IVVENTAS, Iuventas standing facing, head left, right hand dropping a grain of incense onto candelabrum-altar, and holding patera. Ref: RIC 423a[pius] var 3 Possibly Caracalla AR Quinarius. 207 AD. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, laureate head right / PONTIF TR P X COS II, Victory walking left, holding wreath & palm. RSC 433a.
The third one is another denarius of Septimius Severus with Victory walking reverse. A full ID would require legend you are missing including the numeral following IMP at 5 o'clock. My example is similar but may not be an exact match. Severan period quinarii are rare and much smaller in diameter than denarii while many denarii are rather underweight and undersize. Yours is a denarius.
cool gift pish! the last gift i got was a coin as well. i got it from a forum member, chrsmat71...what a great guy!
