Wow, a bunch. Say, could you post a picture of the obverse & reverse? I was curious to see how discernible the clashes are without magnification.

I'd like to see full coin photos of both sides, too! It's not that I doubt you, but it is always nice to see how the clashes developed.

Thank you. Appears to be quite easily seen.

Yes, they are neat. The only one I question is your first photo of the parallel lines extending from George's face. That area appears to line up with the roadway where there are no such lines. Isn't it possible that those are die polishing lines, or am I missing something?

    Thanks!

I'm not sure what they are, I don't see any polishing on the coin, ( obverse or reverse ) its a very early die state too .

I was thinking the same thing too. you see that common on the kitaschie quarters. could it be die fatigue ( I THINK that is the term I am thinking of)

The Morgan dollar is a good example if you want to look for die polishing lines. There were so many clashes on these big cartwheels, and mint employees were kept busy polishing evidence of the clashes.

Overlay a dime obverse side and see if it lines up or try an older quarter.

See if you can see VDB in the area if you were to overlay a cent(penny)

I know that I have to keep reminding you, but you don't have any understanding of the minting process and how errors occur, and I will keep reminding you until you decide to find a book to learn about these aspects of coin collecting.

I've also noticed that when I post a comment like this, you never respond. It only leads me to believe that you don't care. If you continue to act like this, it will only hurt you because others will get to the point that they won't bother to respond to your posts at all. It's your choice.

Rick, those look like they might be die polishing lines, too! Die polishing is often used to remove evidence of a clash. They have to be very careful how the clashes are polished out of the die especially along the edge of a device. They don't want to remove too much detail as was the case of the 3-legged Buffalo.
