2013 D cent is it DD?

I see double ear lobe, the L in liberty and the 3 in year are most visible.

And on the reverse side there are extra stripes

Doubling to be worth saving is usually more pronounced. Let's see what the Gurus here say.

Look at a picture of a 1955 double die cent and compare it to yours. Do you see anything similar?

 

Ok thank you. I thought that was a poor mans DD 55' and 69' it is called hubbing, right or just DD(double die). I have seen DD less than mine or is that false claims?

 

The '55 DDO is one of the most extreme cases of doubling known. Why do you have to suggest this as an example? There are many instances that are not as severe.

Yes, there is a "Poor Man's" Doubled Die for 1955, but that is because the true 1955 Doubled Die is so expensive.

"Hub Doubling" (not hubbing) is the act of creating the doubling on the working hub. This doubling is then transferred to the "Working Die" which then transfers the doubling onto the coins.

I did. I used an extreme to show what a DD looks like. That's how I learned. Stop being a grump and putting others down just because you see things differently.

I would call that a doubled die, the 3 in 2013 looks like it would on a minor doubled die. MD is more flat, almost like a ghost of the the feature it is doubling. Also, Just saying what has already been said, there is no way to compare a 1955 doubled die with a minor doubled die, a good comparison is to look at some minor doubled dies on lincolnresource.com.

 

It's not a doubled die. The 3 appears to be from die fatigue. I see nothing on the ear. All of your post seem to show you have a severe case of paridola when looking at coins. Sorry about the spelling!

I agree with chris. IMO the 72 DD's would be a nice line to look at. extreme to minor and everything in between

 

the 3 looks like it took a good smashing. it looks lower than the other numbers. personally I think PMD.
