I Framed My Completed Dime Folder

That's a good question. Behind the folder boards I kept the inner frame thingy (has 3 cutouts intended for photos) and the glossy white page which all came with the frame. I left them in there to press everything tight. Otherwise the back would have been a little loose and the coin boards could fall back from the glass.

Boom - 75 years from now, a set of monster toners! Hopefully that's popular at the time.;):cigar:

The "thingy" is know as a "customer provided mat" and everything else that came with it should be fine. The back of the frame should be sealed with a paper. You glue the ends of the paper to the frame to keep dirt and dust out. When dealing with old pictures or hand tinted photos, as I do with my antiques business, you must use "acid free paper" so as not to harm the contents. Just thought you might like to know a paper bag no longer cuts its.

A few years ago I picked up a nice engraved print of Lincoln, signed and when I had it professionally restored, they used acid free paper. The restorer even recommended it for all items framed. Something about the bleach used in paper. :) At any rate, enjoy your coins. I do find it very interesting and a great way to display them.

Looks great..I have always preferred to have a display of coins visible without having to pull them out of the collection all the time. Understandably the most valuable kept stored securely away.
    I think its cool.

If I framed a collection of dollars then I would have to label the front "Do NOT break glass in emergency"..[emoji2]

But what if you were low on beer (or root beer for me for a couple more years) funds?! I'd say that's an emergency that would justify liberating those dollars. :D

Awww...you just made me consider erasing "DO NOT "...but their my precious coins..I must not give in.
Takes minutes to make beer dissappear.
Took a long time for the collection to appear.[emoji12]
Plus,if it means breaking into your collection for beer, then maybe ya shouldn't be drinking eh.[emoji6]

Just wondering if another pane of glass was put on the back to see the reverse of the coins..would that work. ?
Apologies if that has already been mentioned.
