I'll ha e to say no but there are some die chips around the 3. Looking at my references and your first image, it was a tough call. Still a very nice coin no matter what .
Ok people I need some help. I picked up this beauty today and I think it is the 1942 TII Jefferson Proof. Can some one please either confirm or defunct this idea for me. Thank you. Sorry about the images they are from my iPhone.
Thanks Bob I appreciate it. Thanks Jester So if this is indeed a proof 1942 TII Jefferson than I think I cherrypicked this one, I saw it at the coin store, however I am not familier with this proof and my newness to the world made it difficult. I did notice the nice mirror finish and the strong features to include the steps so I went for it. I paid a whooping $9 for it. I figured even if it wasnt a proof the full steps would lead to a higher value then what the coin was selling for. Now that it has been confirmed that it is a proof I think I scored big time. I will take better pictures of it once I get my imaging station set up again. Thank you all for the assistance.
Paddy thanks for the reply. I looked at the coin and the doubling is due to glare, however the MM does have something behind it so I am thinking you are right on the RPM. Do you know where I can get information on this one? again thank you.
Yes you can go to varietyvista.com and down load all the varieties for the Jefferson nickels . But are you sure about that double profile? As if you look at an WDDO -004 there are some pups I like to have a clearer image.
Ok so here is a better picture of my cherrypicked 1942-P Jefferson Type II Proof. Let me know what you think as to grade, and other details.
