It doesn't get much better than this in the toned modern category ...

Continuing to focus on emperors I needed, latest is a Zeno/Monnogram I got from a facebook acquaintance.

These come in horrible scraps but this one is one of the better ones!

Here's my newest bust quarter. She's seen quite a few hands over the years, but it's still an awesome coin in my book. But that's not all...

...Upon examining the "25 C," it appears to be the B-1 1818/5 die pairing. With a lot of eye strain and a little imagination you can even make out the 5 under the 8. This is the second time I've gotten an 1818/5 advertised as an 1818. Not too shabby of a $70 purchase if you ask me!

Plus it has the fancy 57th Street label so it's gotta be worth a fortune! Lol ;)

Here's another 57th Street rarity, with a fine pedigree destined to go down in numismatic history lol...

But yours had a boring life and mine had all kinds of fun in circulation! Just kidding, that's a really pretty penny, ahem, cent. :)

Yours is definitely more rare even though it's price is the same as mine. That type is high on my list. There just aren't that many problem free examples still around.

Definitely! I love the looks of the ones with the dark patina in the fields with lighter devices. This one is a bright silver color all over, polished by all the hands it saw.

It probably rubbed up against a lot of 2 reale pieces as well, because "2 bits" was a lot more common denomination than a federal quarter in those days.

No pedigree as she's raw but I've always wondered what she would grade. I like the way the die crack follows the oak leaves. 1862 IHC die crack.jpg 1862 IHC Combo.jpg

Appears to be die marriage BF-2
The criss-cross lines are raised but upon closer inspection there are cuts running along the raised lines. The lines blend into the design in areas making it seem there were lines cut into the die.... Contrary to the over-edited seller pics, the criss-cross lines seemed to be apart of the design in a way. With the coin in hand and under a microscope, im leaning towards PMD but im not 100% sure of this. I hate coins like this lol.
