I was wondering what raw ungraded is the best price to pay for one of these quarters.

Looks like the best price on eBay is around $20.

ok well you think they would bring a premium if I got it graded.

A few graded ones have sold on eBay in the $200 range. Will they go up, down or stay the same, who knows. I bought several ungraded ones to put away to see what they do.

Some errors go up and stay up. Others go up and fall. A lot of what controls the pricing is supply and demand and of course dealer hype.

Thor, this error is a doubled die. You can see two curved lines in the third window pane on the right. Those lines are the pump handle.

What is the price you have paid for your individual coins.

If I had to guess, most here are self educated, as well, since there are few internships available and only a few online courses and seminars from what I've seen. And it's a great way to learn. I admire you for that.

Ungraded, they seem to be selling nicely over the summer in the $20 - $30 range. Grade samples have sold much higher.

This recent article from July 30, 2015 in Numismatic News should give you more insight: http://www.numismaticnews.net/article/homestead-doubled-die-count-60

It looks like they're beginning to dry up. I bought mine several months ago on eBay when sellers were offering lots of 10, 20 & 40 - I think I paid around $140 for a 10 coin lot. I don't see any lots on eBay now, just individual coins.

I found one on the west coast. Very strange, as I've only seen about a total of five P Parks Quarter here.

Yeah all I get here is Denver Mint which is strange because I am closer to the Philadelphia Mint

The only thing I've seen on the Ds so far are what looks like strong doubling on the date and other devices around the rim.

However, since those devices are incuse (sunken, not raised), what looks like doubling in an image or through a scope is actually MD (machine / mechanical doubling). Actual doubling on incuse devices reduces the size of the letter, not increases it.
