DDO Quarter?

    Is this what is called a double die? I have such a hard time recognizing what is a double die. Please help!

    Lets take this photo.

    You will notice that the doubling happens on all sides of the letters. The details of the devices aren't strong, they are weak and mushy. That is how a worn out die looks
    Doubled dies move one direction or the other. they don't happen on both sides of the device.

    Hang in there GIGI, you'll find one. A bit more study and If I could encourage you to go find a coin shop, look thru their slabs and try to find an authenticated example, any example of a doubled die will help you in your search, and ability to identify one.
    I struggled for years, study study study, the die making process and the processes the mint uses to maintain the dies.

    Some call that DDD, meaning Deteriorated Die Doubling, so you have that. LOL
