  3. "All Reverse Proof Presidential dollars are, so far, exclusive to their respective Coin & Chronicles sets." Love the 'so far' part. Expect an RP set by end of year...lol TC

With 50k, why not raise the HHL to 5?

Because the whiners would cry that they still didn't get any because of the evil flippers.........

That coin had VERY strong potential at 25,000. 50,000 might hurt the future value.

Of course it will have an affect, but, 50k is still low.

    Depends on demand.

  9. Collector demand should be much higher for Kennedy than either Truman or Ike set.

Wah! Wah! Wah! I didn't get any!

Oh, that's right! I didn't order any. Don't you just love it when the Mint "ups the ante" in midstream. I think it would be hilarious if they raised it to 500K.

    Which raises another possibility........

What would happen if more 69's than 70's were graded for the First Strikes, Early Releases and First Day of Issue. Then, when the remainder of the 50K were released (ineligible for these ridiculous labels) there were more 70's graded than 69's? Which would be worth more?

  11. The set left in original government packaging would be worth more, at least to me. :) TC

eBay offer Kennedy chronicle coin set at $225.00 a set.

The mint should also adjust the max mintage for Johnson, Nixon, Ford and Reagan from 17,000 to 25,000.

  15. They are not going to make a Nixon or Ford set, but only a Reagan set in 2016.

From Numismatic News, June 4, 2015:

On June 4, Tom Jurkowsky, director of the Mint’s office of corporate communications, confirmed there will be a reverse proof Presidential dollar in the 2016 Reagan Presidential Coin and Chronicles set.

There will not be Nixon and Ford reverse proof Presidential dollar coin in 2016 or Presidential Coin and Chronicles sets for them.

I was so looking forward to them.

  19. There is a rumor floating around that HH limit for JFK set is now 1 and not 2. I can find nothing online to substantiate so it remains a rumor, for now...lol.

I also saw a rumor that the silver medal was reverse proof... but again, just a rumor. What other rumors can we start? lol
