What was your order number? I got an order in pretty fast and it is still processing.

Same here. I figured that since I got in close to the end, mine might not ship for a while, but maybe this time they've got them all ready to go at the beginning. My order number was 3446xxx.

  4. Mine shipped! TC

So............it's "Wrong" for a company to sell inventory which they legitimately purchased and had graded?

The next Coin Dealer I come across that has a 1970-S Small Date Proof Set for sale at close to $100, I'll have to remind him/her that these were available for $5.00 at original issue price and that their business model is pushing ME out of my entitled right to collect coins at a fair and reasonable price!

How can I put this without appearing negative?
Ah yes, under John's leadership, MCM did IN FACT solicit buyers for the 2011 25th Anniversary SAE Sets which shows that MCM did exactly that which you are condemning. And it didn't end at the 25th Anniversary Sets friend.

Good for them but I can guarantee you that a very small percentage of those, if any, were purchased at original issue price. They were purchased on the "after market" just like everybody else.

    Order Number: USM034490xx

As long as you received your confirmation email, you'll get your coins. You'll probably get your SHIPPED email some time later today.

Congrats on the number you were able to get. I tried on my secondary account but given the hang-ups I experienced, the "Currently Unavailable" popped up right after I logged in.

I'm pretty ticked off about the website problems. I logged in early and checked my credit card setup and then waited until just before 9 am and started refreshing. As soon as they became orderable I added 2 to my cart and hit checkout...all OK. I finished filling out my checkout page and hit the "final confirmation" button, then everything went sideways. I spent the next 15 minutes trying to get the order through with MULTIPLE site issues and I was never able to get my order through. I WAS ON THE BALL, but the Mint failed. I'm an Ike fan and was looking forward to this set.

If I get the 3 orders, I feel lucky. I won't even say how many orders I had lined up ready to go. 10 minutes should have given me plenty of time if it were not for the website glitches.

The mint site says "product limit-none "mintage 17,000 I suppose they can do whatever they want. For those of us fortunate enough to get the Truman set, I hope they make more!!!!!!

i was a little pissed off yesterday. i got on the mint's website at 12 pm on the nose, added a set to my cart and for the next 15 minutes tried to check out. i used 2 laptops and i still could not get my order through. i tried checking out as a guest and that did not work. i tried calling and the phone line was busy until after 1pm. when i saw the notice at 12:15 that they were sold out i saw red. i went on ebay at 12:30 and they were already on sale there of course for 200 or more and some were labeled presale. how do these people know they are going to get a set. i am a collector who wanted 1 measley set and it just makes me so angry that you go on ebay and some of these greedy dogs have multiple sets for sale. i think the mint needs t come up with a better system for sets with low mintages and high demand in order to give everyone a fair shot at getting one. maybe they should make it 1 per household because the kennedy set is going to be in high demand. maybe they should have a reserve sale before the actual sale date and if you are lucky enough to get a reservation number then you can purchase a set when they go on sale. i wasn't even aware of these sets until i saw it on a show on tv. i have signed up with the mint for email notice and snail mail notice but i got nothing on the truman set or the 100 dollar high relief gold coin( which i have purchased). i just think the mint needs to do a better job of dealing with collectors and not worrying about the greedy dealers who are only interested in profit . i finally won a truman set on ebay last night for 162 dollars and change

You did good on the Truman set. Prices are already going up on ebay.

I wouldn't want a lottery either, as I never win those. The only fair way is the way they sold the 2012 & 2013 ASE sets, a 30 day ordering window and let the market determine the mintage.

My ordering experience was the same as others described. I was completely on the ball with coins in my shopping cart right on time (albeit on airplane wifi), and the darn website kept crashing.

I actually really like the low mintage offerings. I think it helps build interest in the hobby. But I'd prefer if they didn't announce mintages until AFTER things sell out. That way you keep away the flippers up front and the folks buying are the ones that really want it.

Tried to buy just one at noon, site crashed, page not available, slowly able to move along. Then got to point to accept terms and conditions, but the box to accept was not there. Refreshed and got item no longer available, please empty your cart. There's gotta be a better way.

Despite the problems I experienced, and given all the failures reported here, I feel rather lucky getting the two I got.
