OOPS!!! Should always read the fine print LOL. Put in bid based on the picture I'm used to dealing with more reputable eBay sellers and sometimes forget to check the gimmick posters. But it better be close or I will ask for refund. Because I can at least be expecting Fantastic and Rainbow toned. Again it's only a few dollars if I never get anything I got another lesson. I don't get too upset about anything you can buy with money because those aren't the things that are truly valuable. At least not to me.
If you get anything close to those pics, I'll be surprised. My best guess is that if coins arrive in the mail, you'll get some AT monstrosities that came out of the guy's oven. :/
I finally received a reply from him last night. He said I mailed the coins already if you don't like them return them. Well DUH. He also added that he didn't have a decent camera so he used stock photos. I believe that would like trying to sell the grandbabies refrigerator art while posting a Van Gogh. Yeah they are both paintings but the similarities end there. I was more upset about him using someone's photo especially a coin already listed for sale on eBay than I was the possibility of not getting what I saw in the picture. I told him not having a camera didn't give him the right to use someone's picture as his own. I'll post pictures of what I receive.
I received the coins today well not THE COINS but two AT Lincolns. They were monstrosities not monster toned LOL. On the bright side after contacting the seller before the coins arrived and again after they arrived he apologized for his lack of judgement and eBay selling knowledge. He issued a full refund and told me to keep the two coins. I believe he was genuine in his replies and assured me he would be using any coin photos that didn't belong to him and would ship the coin listed. I think it was a beginners mistake, we shall see. Oh yeah whoever got that 1960D got a beauty congrats.
Too bad the amazing luster can't be shown along with the amazing color. Jefferson's all red with the luster is pretty darn cool to view in hand. I am very pleased with the photo here especially since I could not get a passable image of the coin to save my life when it was in the former holder. Not common for that to happen as I normally find a way. This was a coin that I picked up at Summer FUN. PCGS PR66
I am thinking slider realm and most people are saying AT which is fine but I am trying to better understand why since I have seen a lot of problem free holdered examples with similar toning. Gotta learn what to look for...Hmmmm
I just rephotographed my 1936 proof. The top image is my photograph, and the bottom is PCGS trueview. I used more lighting to bring out the luster and colors, though it causes some loss of depth and detail shown in the trueview.
