I know if you use a scanner to take images, if it was altered in anyway, the fields would show staining and I'm not seeing any staining in the fields ...

I think some of what appears to be wear can be attributed to weak strike which is so common with O coins. Notice the wing tips on the reverse. Usually, from what I've seen, if the breast feathers are worn down, so should the wing tips. Not to say it's not worn, just that a weak strike and a little wear can make it look drugged through the trenches.

Well here she is showing all she's got. Nothing hidden here. 20150812_110823-1.jpg 20150812_110840-1.jpg

I'm sticking with XF-45. Looks like a light bluish toning is on the reverse, lighter toning starting to appear on the obverse. A few minor dings on the front but overall nice. I'd put it away in my collection, somewhere. I still think it would grade.

I believe it's been cleaned, maybe more than once. Harshly. No grade.

Inside of the scratches look the same as the fields , probably cleaned with an abrasive , XF Details . IMHO .

Really don't mind if it is or has been cleaned. I didn't pay extra for having that done. As far as harshly that I don't think so. I took those last pictures on the hood of my truck in full sunlight and then blew them up so as not to hide anything. There are a few hairlines brought out by the sunlight but not more than on any other circulated coin.

scanners don't have textured black backrounds, they're always smoth and white.

Maybe, maybe not, my scanner has a white background but if I want to scan anything thicker than a sheet of paper, I lay something on top of it because the top won't close, usually a black checkbook.

Ah, it was in the Spring, love was in the air, you were young, and you didn't know what you were doing. I understand. :D

Actually, she's not bad. Her makeup is a little stripped, but she's certainly not harshly cleaned. I can do her. ;)

XF 40. see a lot of wear on breast and feathers on reverse. I see wear, probably coin hits on cheek, hair, and forehead
