Not the best photos, they are copies of the seller's. I purchased this coin but haven't received it yet. I had been looking for an honest coin of this year and MM for a while now, they are a bit pricey if you want one which is readable. I don't consider myself an expert in these or even close to it, so I enlisted the help of one of our resident experts for justification of authenticity. He attributed it to a Vam 3 and after further research, I believe it could possibly be a Vam 3A. Will have a better reference when in hand. Thoughts on whether it will grade or not?
Im a bit concerned w the obverse, i cant tell if its the lighting/images or if there is damage on the cheek and in the fields behind the cap
Those details are almost impossible to determine from these photos. There is something there but exactly what will have to be determined in hand. The other description of this Vam, the blotches above the top arrow feather and the one inside the E appear to be there. Will know for sure in a few days. Will post more pictures then whether Yay or Nay
Something doesn't look quite right about it, so I'll join the "cleaned" camp. That could just be a picture issue though.
Most all graded coins I have seen of this year have a "Details" grade. At least 9/10, probably more. I'm guessing that most other years would be the same if all were to get sent in. It's obvious, at some point in history, a dirty coin was a sin.
I'm "sure" and in your original post you said you "think" it will grade. Guess I'm a more positive person. From the pics, and not the best, I see no reason it would not grade.
I think it will grade too, looks like theses images were taken from a scanner, from a 5 in one printer ..
Definite wear as breast feathers are almost smooth as is the hair above the ear on the obverse. I would not grade this coin if I owned it due to the wear but then again, I've only seen these photos. I don't/can't see any signs of a rough cleaning but I do think it was dipped sometime ago. Just to shiny for the wear.
