I am stuck on this cent can anybody tell me if you see any doubling and if the mint mark is on top of another one. Thank you!
What about the S in the word TRUST and the s in the word PLURIBUS dose it not look like a 5. it might not mean anything. Thank you for the comments!
Try not to look to hard to find things. Coins that have been in circulation as long as this one are liable to "bump into many strangers". Chris
I see the S and it looks like PMD to me. Otherwise, it's a plain normal run-of-the-mill 1970-D penny.
If it was a doubled die it would show some obvious doubling. Also one letter is not USUALLY an indicator. There is usually a pattern that can be discerned.
Put away whatever you're using to magnify your coins and break open a numismatic book on Die Doubling.
