Wow! That's a beauty! One of my favorites. I don't know why but a lot of these Booker T's look a little like a high relief coin. The US Mint had a difficult time selling these half dollars when they were first issued b/c it was a coin with a black man and the world was a lot more racist during the few years this half dollar was minted. I wonder if the US Mint intentionally gave it a deep dish look to try to help boost the sales numbers of these coins?. Anyways, I have a couple of Booker T's in my collection, one like yours and one with some other dude with him, I forget who the other guy was. thumbupp.gif Beautiful toning!! applause.gif MS64

I'm going to go with 66, hoping those shiny spots on his face aren't rub.

    Nice Color! '64........

A few minor distractions on the bust (lips and chin) keep this coin from going to '65 or maybe '66. The reverse looks flawless.

It's a beautiful coin. As it's PCGS-certified it's good for that market but those pictures show somewhat cleaned and re-toned. There's no depth in the fields, they're flat. It could be just the pictures, but I kind of doubt it.

Great guesses so far. I'll leave this up until tomorrow sometime, so everybody who wants can participate.

@eddiespin: Is that a guess for UNC details, or are you just noting that the picture doesn't show luster? PCGS TrueViews are notorious for not showing luster.
