  3. Hey, I just noticed that the Eisenhower stamp is 6 cents and the Truman stamp was 8 cents. Shouldn't the Eisenhower set cost 2 cents less? LOL :D

You are right. I just checked my invoice. I bought $1290.00 total of mint products & paid the $17.95 second day air shipping. :muted:

Exactly what I said in the other thread that a four coin RP set was likely even if an S or W mint. And judging by the mints change of wording on the Truman set specifically to add the bit about Philadelphia

"The 2015 Coin and Chronicles Set includes a 2015 Harry S. Truman $1 Reverse Proof Coin minted in Philadelphia (found only in this set!)"

It seems even more likely that a 4 coin RP set will follow, does anyone really think they won't do it? They are in the business of making money both literally and figuratively; so I wouldn't expect them to leave that opportunity alone. Considering the likely fast sell out of the rest of the P mint RP $1 coins all they have to do is mint more of them at SF or WP and they can defend the action of doing so by stating that the P mint coins were actually limited to only these sets.

Well, really, its neither here nor there for the folks that are buying these simple to resell them.

It's called making collecting pay for itself.

That 8 cent stamp must have been a special issue for special purposes because I distinctly remember that postage during the Eisenhower years was 3 cents.

    OR

The stamps were issued well after their respective administrations.

    Yeah! That's gotta be it.

Doing as you suggest would not affect the "P" Mint Reverse Proof coins but would simply add an additional variety to the Presidential Dollar Proof Sets.

However, I really do not think that they will do this.

But, it will be for sale for 20 minutes. What will there be to evaluate, when they are gone?

  16. That announcement leaves the option to make more wide open to them.

That announcement was part of the Truman Set, as well as most/all of their ads. They could have adjusted Truman down, but did nothing. They have adjusted the limits often with other issues, usually up.
