Great looking coin, stevex6! Like I just told Bing, I would love to own one of those, but I don't live near any ancient coin dealers anymore, and I don't know who to trust online to sell ancient coins.

First, welcome here to this august family (some might say dysfunctional). There are a lot of Ancients dealers on line that are very trustworthy. Sarting wiht the dealers at Vcoins.com. But there are also honest auctions on line such as CNG and Agora just to mention a couple. And lastly, there are honest sellers on Ebay. You just have to weed them out from the dishonest. Many of us have lists of sellers we buy from and most are willing to share. If you are interested in such a list, I suggest you start a private conversation. Good luck whatever you decide.

Oh, I might mention that there are Ancients for sale on the "For Sale" forum on CointTalk. Generally, not many, but it might be a good place to start.

Great! Thanks for this info. I will definitely check into it. What sparked off my desire to want ancients again is when I saw that wonderful 12 Caesar coin set of Kumbly's.

I second Bing's Vcoins.com recommendation. As with any venue, there will be some vendors that will serve you better than others, but at least the majority that you will find on Vcoins are as serious about their business as any brick-and-mortar store. I would stay away from eBay at least initially. My experience with buying coins has been almost exclusively online, and I've
found that if you do your shopping at the right places, you actually have very little to worry about. In fact, the ability to conveniently compare the offerings and prices of a variety of dealers before making a purchase is a major advantage that online venues such as Vcoins offer.
