I'll have to contact my brother............

  4. I like the blue folder on the Ike set. The medal looks decent as well.

I like the design of this medal too. I don't usually associate Ike with plow horses and covered wagons but I like it.
Everyone better be ready at high noon on the 11th. With what the Trumans are selling for I can guarantee there will be 8,500 individuals with mouse hovering on the mints site, waiting to click at that first second.
    Sellout time prediction; 18 min.

Are you kidding, I wouldn't buy a set of ANACS 70's! They had thousands of the Kennedy's clad set SP69. I feel sorry for the collectors who bought them. All the while PCGS and NGC only had a couple dozen. You might as well buy a set of 70's from ICG (I Cant Grade) Grading company. Check your population reports. PCGS and NGC are the only label I will buy or grade with.

    Item Number: AX2
Mintage Limit: None Product Limit: 17,000 Household Order Limit: 2

I guess I'm not thinking clearly. If my product line is set up to mint 17,000 units as a limit, then how can the mintage units be unlimited?

  9. It's not you, it's the Mint. They like to be vague and unpredictable. This gives them the option to produce more RP coins for another product. Contrary to popular belief, they can do this even though they have said the RP coins are exclusive to this set.

They did say exclusive for the Truman Set, but I haven't seen a U.S. Mint news release for Eisenhower that says this. Anyone see one?

Like I said in another thread (Truman), the option for them to do so is in place if they want to mint more RP's. Whether or not they'll do so remains to be seen. Statequarterguy has produced documentation that the mint has said they will not be producing any more Truman RP's and they will be true and exclusive to that set only, but nothing has been stated/written (mint) regarding the upcoming issues. Time will tell.......

Will the Eisenhower set include a rounded golf ball shaped "coin"?

The mint website worked perfectly. If you were on at noon, you got some. Same for these.

  14. I am thinking that there may be a few more people online at noon this time around. Hope the ordering system doesn't fail.

It held up with the MOD & Truman C&C sets so I'm pretty confident that the site will be running up to speed on the next 'game day'. I always log on a few minutes before 12 PM, go to the product offering, and refresh my browser from time to time.

Better yet how do they know if their minted yet? The mint has been know to ship a month after they go on sale.

Look at Jackie Kennedy. still not shipped and my order went in at 12:15.

Wow do these guys who bought the pre sale on ebay for 145.00 realize he/she could have got it for 60 bucks?

Could get 2 of them, yes. What if they want/need more? The Truman ones are over $200 now.

This is one set I really want and will be out of the country. Oh well.

  19. Unlike the Truman set, the Eisenhower set description from the mint site does not state, "found only in this set!" Looks like the mint removed that specific phrase. IMO, this along with a "mintage limit: none" really opens the door to a reverse proof set containing these presidential RP coins later this year. TC

After spending a couple grand on these sets, buying the max and then some, that would be enough for me stop speculating on these issues. I may buy one for my collection, but forget multiples.
