    Thanks, I can kind of make the clash out on your coin as well . The "C" that is clashed in front of her nose can be seen along with the outer wreath showing in the lower feathers.

    I wish these had die cracks instead of holes.:(..dug them out today and to be honest I aint even sure if they are real but am positive they are wrecked. 20150717_225057_HDR-1.jpg

    This is odd. I don't know if that is a die break or what. I wouldn't think a die could break only in the middle without extending to the rim. The lumpy and jagged look of the line isn't typical of a break.

    Yeah, the dies can break from the inside out, if that makes sense. The 1903 and 1907 Goatee varieties are examples of a die failure near center, without involvement of the rim. Die chips on the 8th feather tip are also very common, especially in 1899. The 1880 'Earring' variety shows a die break very similar to OP's coin, but the crack does not appear connected to the rim.

    On the reverse, the interior die breaks usually occur in the form of a die dot near center. See the reverse die dots of 1864, 1883, and 1898.
